Drawing Station Set-Up on the Farm

Setting up little drawing stations around the farm—so when inspiration strikes, I’m ready. 

This one’s by the horses. A table, my sketchbook, and a cup of tea… just the way I like to start (or end) the day. After living in an apartment for the last 3 years—and in a neighborhood for the 11 before that—I didn’t realize how much I missed this.

In Rhode Island, the barn was a 45-minute drive away. Now? It’s right outside my door. I’ve dreamed of this for years: sitting here with my boys, sketchbook in hand, sharing quiet moments and finding my way back into a creative groove. 

What kind of art do you want to see me make around the farm? More horses? Chickens? Barn sketches? Pastures at sunrise?
